Notice of Election

Notice is hereby given that a vote of the Municipality of Bifrost-Riverton will be taken to elect Reeve and Councillors from the following duly nominated candidates:

For the Office of Reeve:

VOTING PLACES

 Voting places will be open for voting on Wednesday the 26th day of October 2022 between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m at:

  • Riverton Community Hall - 175 Reggie Leach Drive, Riverton
  • Arborg Bifrost Community Centre - 409 Recreation Centre, Arborg

IDENTIFICATION MAY BE REQUIRED BEFORE BEING ALLOWED TO VOTE.  A person may be required to produce one piece of government issued photo identification (for example - driver’s license or passport) or at least two other documents that provide proof of identity.

ADVANCE VOTING

For the purpose of accommodating persons who are qualified to vote, but who have reason to believe they will be absent or otherwise unable to attend their proper voting place on election day, an advance voting opportunity will be located at: Riverton Community Hall – 175 Reggie Leach Drive, Riverton on Saturday October 15th, between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. and at Municipality of Bifrost-Riverton Office – 329 River Road, Arborg on Tuesday, October 18th, between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

APPLICATION TO VOTE BY SEALED ENVELOPE

A voter who is unable to go in person to the voting place or vote in advance, may apply in person, in writing, or by fax to the senior election official at 329 River Road, Box 70 Arborg, MB R0C 0A0 fax -204-376-2742 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. If applying in person*, a voter may apply between September 28, 2022 and October 23, 2022.  * A voter applying in person may pick up a sealed envelope ballot package at the time of application.

If applying by mail or fax**, a voter may apply between September 28, and October 23, 2022.  ** A voter applying by mail or fax will receive a sealed envelope ballot package by regular post, or by making alternative arrangements with the senior election official.
